Introduction
Webfox supercharged Kwetta's vision, turning their groundbreaking EV charging kiosk concept into a stunning reality.
Partnering with Kwetta, a New Zealand leader in driving global EV charging innovation, we delivered a sleek, intuitive charging station interface that seamlessly merged cutting-edge design with rock-solid functionality. Our expertise in advanced front-end development and intricate API integration ensured Kwetta's system was fully realized.

The Challenge
Kwetta faced a significant challenge: developing a visually appealing, high-resolution user interface for their EV charging kiosks on a hardware platform with limited processing capabilities.
They needed a solution that could seamlessly integrate with their complex API and backend systems, including their electronic control system. They figured finding a local partner with expertise in both front-end graphics and intricate backend integration would prove difficult, hindering their ability to deliver a premium user experience.

The Solution
Webfox delivered a comprehensive, custom solution that went beyond traditional web development. We began with a thorough analysis of Kwetta's hardware limitations, then leveraged our UI/UX expertise to design a streamlined, intuitive interface.
We employed a lightweight, feature-rich modern tech stack to create a responsive and visually engaging experience, developing directly on the hardware itself. Our designers, adhering to Kwetta’s brand guidelines, took the UX from concept through to design and animation.
Our senior developers directly tackled the complex API integration, ensuring seamless communication with Kwetta's backend via MQTT protocols. We also implemented support for the CHAdeMO charging standard, showcasing our ability to adapt and innovate. This involved significant technical modifications and thorough automated testing using MQTT replays to ensure expected UI outcomes. We make it happen, with expertise and dedication.
